Cover Design

Narrative Illustration
Created a series of interior illustrations to expand the story beyond the written page, using composition, style, lighting, and character performance to reinforce key moments throughout the novel.
World Building
Designed the endpaper map to establish the geography and mythology of the Kingdom of the One True North while reinforcing the story's sense of place.
Character Development
Produced character development sheets that served as visual reference throughout the project, helping maintain consistency in appearance, clothing, and personality across multiple illustrations.
Additional Publishing Experience
Educational Publishing
Designed the interior of a statewide educational picture book and created a recurring timeline that progressed throughout the story, allowing readers to see each historical milestone in the broader evolution of humanity's use of solar energy.
Book Launch Marketing
Extended the publishing experience beyond the printed page by developing promotional artwork and video marketing that supported book launches, strengthened brand awareness, and encouraged reader engagement across digital channels.
Original Children's Publishing
Created and illustrated original children's books from concept through publication, combining storytelling, illustration, and design into engaging reading experiences. My work has received national recognition, including the Society of Illustrators Gold Award and Amazon Best Book of the Year honors. Several titles generated sequel publications, and I partnered with schools, literacy organizations, and conferences through author visits, drawing demonstrations, and presentations.
Beyond creating books, I mentored emerging illustrators through SCBWI, served on professional panels, and advocated for literacy through school programs and community events.
